When a Giraffe knocked our Door...

Here's a funny little poem from my musing pen today, just to cheer us all up this Monday...

Poem: When a Giraffe knocked our door

Did you hear about that day...
When a giraffe knocked our door on its way.
He escaped from the jungle sickness he said,
To be lured and cured by the city life instead!
He entered with his head bowing gracefully,
I cleared the way to let him in hastily.
His freckled face looked sort of kind,
At such late hours, we just didn't mind.
He wore a jacket and pants of denim,
His hat almost touched the roof beam.

You will be surprised to know that he dined with us...
He ranted about rainforests and jungles,
About bathing baboons and weeping wolves,
Where lazy lions slept and elephants ruled.
We ate while he munched,
We giggled while he fumbled,
He was a little shy but funny too…

When we woke up the next morning,
The giraffe was missing…
But I tell you it was not a dream,
His denim was still hanging on the beam.
I am sure he will return one day,
To claim the denim on his way!

Thank you for stopping by...have a good day.
